From Springer Alerts Geosciences September 2005:

Regional Environmental Change focuses on the interactions between
human and natural systems at the regional level, within the context
of global change, vulnerability, and sustainable development. Regions
considered may be at any appropriate scale and may differ widely,
provided they are defined in a consistent way. They may include
natural regions or those defined by human activities (such as river
basins and ecosystems, metropolitan areas, agricultural or coastal
regions). Ideally regions should be considered integrated units of
the Earth System. Both theoretical and applied studies are welcomed,
with an emphasis on work with a multi-disciplinary perspective.

+ 3 - 5 | § Updated Library News format

Welcome!  The NOAA Seattle Library News page is now in a blog format with RSS feeds available.
All news previous to August 2005 is still available at the old news page.  The new format will allow more frequent posts on a broader array of topics and urgency as well as an easier means of staying aware of new posts.  Significant news such as major changes to journal subscriptions and database resources or significant additions to the book collection will still be sent via email as well.

Please contact the library with any questions regarding the RSS feeds or news items.
Hope you find the new service useful!
